New National School Curriculum

From February 2010.   New Zealand schools should start using the extensively overhauled National curriculum.  It is designed to give schools more flexibility to shape their own curriculum to suit students and was designed after comprehensive consultation processes by the Ministry of Education.  The new curriculum is not as focused on what is taught but on how or why it is taught.
